In my email inbox, a question:
[C]an anyone explain to me why Palin's:
making sure everyone knows she wasn't consulted about the Michigan pullback, which she found out about a day after the rest of us
[Ttus] drawing attention to a negative campaign development that Team McCain would love everyone to ignore, and
going public with internal campaign dissent?
My guess is that she has decided that it is in her interest not to maximize McCain's chances of winning this year but rather to maximize her own chances for 2012--and denouncing the strategic decisions of the McCain campaign publicly and loudly is a way for her to keep from being tarred with too-prominent an association with McCain.
