Joshua Green Interviews Rand Paul on the Federal Reserve: Is This a Joke?! Weblogging

Rand Paul on Republicans' Voter Appeal and the Federal Reserve:

Joshua Green: Who would your ideal Fed chairman be?

Rand Paul: [Friedrich] Hayek would be good, but he’s deceased.

Joshua Green: Nondead Fed chairman.

Rand Paul: [Milton] Friedman would probably be pretty good, too, and he’s not an Austrian, but he would be better than what we have.

Joshua Green: Dead, too.

Rand Paul: Yeah. Let’s just go with dead, because then you probably really wouldn’t have much of a functioning Federal Reserve.
