...for missing a disaster story...' Can we please pause the tape here and marvel at the magnitude of the gap between Kinsley's brain and reality? Predicting disaster on account of the looming Great Inflation was a cottage industry; it would be easier to enumerate the economics journalists who weren't predicting disaster. Why is it that the commentators holding the most quotidian and ill-informed opinions imagine themselves to be unique precious snowflakes, diamond-hard intellects with the hardiness to weather the icy winds of the world as it is and not as we would wish it to be? Oh right... Dunning-Kruger.
