Solaris by Stanislaw Lem.... 3. The Secret of Sinharat / People of the Talisman by Leigh Brackett.... 4. The Star King by Jack Vance.... 5. The Zero Stone by Andre Norton.... 6. But... but... but... C.J. Cherryh's first three "Morgaine" novels are better Leigh Brackett than any of Leigh Bracket except for The Ginger Star (and the screenplay for The Empire Strikes Back). It's unfair to pick Foreigner over them (and over Downbelow Station) just because tea!
