(b) The issue is not whether robots can do better than humans in ONE PARTICULAR situation. It's whether they can do better across the gamut of situations. Yes, robots might have failed the Canadian geese test. They may also have PASSED the PanAm 1736 test and the Saudia 763 test and, heck, most of the items on this list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_aircraft_accidents_and_incidents_resulting_in_at_least_50_fatalities (including, BTW, the top two...)
